What the heck IS Flipperstock?

Flipperstock began at the Savoy Banquet Center back in 2006 as a way say good-bye to PHINS long-time percussionist.  As Flipper began to raise a family, he made the difficult decision to abandon his love for music and concentrate on being a dad for Colin and Kate..

Never one to go quietly, Flipper decided to have one last party to say so long, and invite a few of the musical friends he's made along the way.  So, PHINS was joined by Jack Mosley (who returns this year for the first time since), Jim Hoehn, and Jim Lanier, and Flipperstock was born!

Realizing that we might have a good thing going, we decided to continue Flipperstock as an annual event, spread it out over two days, bring in our musician friends from all over the country, and even raise a little money for charity in the process.  We moved the event to the Sheraton Westport Hotel, and have been there ever since.  We have enjoyed the talents of many trop-rock's best musicians over the past 6 years, and we plan to continue the fun as long as we can!
